هيئة المسح الجيولوجي: زلزال شدته 6.6 درجة يضرب بابوا غينيا الجديدة

(رويترز) – قالت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية إن زلزالا شدته 6.6 درجة ضرب بابوا غينيا الجديدة صباح الأربعاء (بالتوقيت المحلي).

ووقع الزلزال الساعة 0726 صباحا (2126 بتوقيت جرينتش يوم الثلاثاء) على بعد 83 كيلومترا جنوبي مدينة ويواك الساحلية لكنه كان على عمق 112 كيلومترا تحت الأرض وهو عمق كبير جدا من شأنه أن يخفف شدة الهزة.
