جيليير يعترف بالهزيمة ويهنئ بنييرا على عودته لكرسي الحكم في تشيلي

سانتياجو، 17 ديسمبر/كانون أول (إفي): أقر السيناتور أليخاندرو جيليير بهزيمته في الجولة الثانية من الانتخابات الرئاسية في تشيلي وأكد أن المرشح المحافظ، سيباستيان بنييرا، هو الفائز بالانتخابات.

وقال المرشح التقدمي في تصريحات أمام أنصاره بعد فرز أكثر من 90% من صناديق الاقتراع “أريد أن أهنئ منافسي، سيباستيان بنييرا، الرئيس الجديد للجمهورية، الذي اتصلت به لتهنئته بانتصاره القوي”.

وأضاف “الشعب التشيلي ذهب في مناسبة أخرى لصناديق الاقتراع وحدد مصيرنا من خلال التصويت. لقد كانت جولة انتخابية رائعة تؤكد أن تشيلي تتمتع بديمقراطية صلبة، ونظام انتخابي معترف به في العالم بأسره”. (إفي)
