الصحة العالمية تدعو لرفض خطة فيليب موريس لإقامة مؤسسة لعالم خال من التبغ

جنيف (رويترز) – نصحت منظمة الصحة العالمية الحكومات يوم الخميس برفض خطة لشركة التبغ فيليب موريس إنترناشيونال لإقامة مؤسسة من أجل عالم خال من التدخين.

وقالت الوكالة التابعة للأمم المتحدة في بيان “صناعة التبغ والمجموعات الرائدة فيها تضلل العامة بشأن المخاطر المرتبطة بمنتجات التبغ”.

وأضافت “مثل هذا السلوك المضلل مستمر اليوم مع قيام شركات، بينها فيليب موريس إنترناشيونال، بتسويق منتجات التبغ بطرق تشير على نحو مضلل إلى أن بعض منتجات التبغ أقل ضررا من الأخرى”.

وتابعت “منظمة الصحة العالمية لن تدخل في شراكة مع المؤسسة. الحكومات يجب ألا تدخل في شراكة مع المؤسسة ومجتمع الصحة العامة يجب أن يحذو هذا الحذو”.
