الأمم المتحدة تندد بإعدامات جماعية في العراق وتحذر من المزيد

جنيف (رويترز) – قال مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان الأمير زيد بن رعد الحسين يوم الأربعاء إن إعدام 42 سجينا في العراق يوم الأحد روعه وإن الأحكام نفذت في غياب للإجراءات القضائية النزيهة على الأرجح كما عبر عن قلقه من تنفيذ المزيد منها.

وأضاف في بيان “روعني نبأ إعدام 42 سجينا في يوم واحد.

“نحن نشعر بقلق شديد بسبب تقارير تفيد بأن العراق ربما يخطط للتعجيل بعملية إعدام السجناء المحكوم عليهم بالإعدام وقد يؤدي هذا إلى المزيد من الإعدامات واسعة النطاق في الأسابيع المقبلة”.
