حريق غابات في جنوب كاليفورنيا يجبر 1500 شخص على الفرار من منازلهم

لوس أنجليس (رويترز) – تكافح أطقم الإطفاء حريق غابات كبيرا في جنوب كاليفورنيا يوم الثلاثاء دمر مبنى واحدا على الأقل وأجير 1500 شخص على الفرار من منازلهم.

وأفادت إدارة الغابات والحماية من الحرائق في كاليفورنيا بأن ما يعرف بحريق كانيون، الذي اندلع بعد ظهر الاثنين في مرتفعات سانتا آنا شرقي لوس انجليس، أدى إلى احتراق ما يزيد على ألفي فدان بحلول صباح الثلاثاء.

وأضافت الوكالة أنه تم استدعاء نحو 900 من أفراد مكافحة الحرائق لحماية المنازل في مدينة كورونا وما حولها تساعدهم في ذلك طائرات تسقط المياه والجرافات.

واندلع الحريق كانيون أثناء موسم الحرائق في أنحاء الغرب الأمريكي.

وقال المركز الوطني لوكالات مكافحة الحرائق في بويزي بولاية ايداهو إن ما يقرب من 41 ألف حريق دمرت أكثر من ستة ملايين فدان في الولايات المتحدة منذ بداية العام وهو ما يزيد كثيرا على 4.2 مليون فدان في المتوسط أتت عليها الحرائق في السنوات العشر الأخيرة.
